Not a court office. This site cannot pull a case file, change a hearing, issue a certified copy, remove a record, take a filing, or provide legal advice. Send those requests to the court or clerk with custody of the matter.
Need an Official Docket or Record?
Start with the court level. Cheyenne County Court handles traffic, municipal ordinances, misdemeanors, small claims, probate, juvenile matters, and felony preliminary hearings. The Clerk of the District Court holds District Court pleadings, felony records after bind-over, higher civil and family records, protection-order matters, and district appeals.
- Case lookup or public register: use Docket Search or the free public courthouse kiosk.
- Current date or setting: use the Court Schedule, then confirm a consequential date with the appropriate clerk.
- County Court record or traffic matter: Cheyenne County Court, 1000 10th Avenue, Sidney, NE 69162; 308-254-2929; Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- District Court record or certified pleading: Clerk of the District Court, Mindy Wiegand, 1000 10th Avenue, PO Box 217, Sidney, NE 69162-0217; 308-254-2814, option 3.
- District Court record request: use the Case Records Request form for an identified criminal or civil matter and select electronic, in-office, mailed, or certified delivery.
For an urgent appearance, payment, or recent setting, call the clerk rather than relying only on a public search result. Email is not a filing method. Official records are subject to Nebraska court-access rules and may be restricted, sealed, or unavailable in the public interface.
